The following is a list of the types of landscapes and their corresponding tactical information that an army will come up against. This list while accurate at time of compilation is by no means comprehensive as new worlds are opened for exploration and new systems discovered.

 

Landscape Type: Adeptus Mechanica/Forge World 

Tactical Information: Each Army must have a "titan"

Scenario Details: Random Apocalypse

 

Landscape Type: Agri-world

Tactical Information: Basic back water agricultural colony.

Scenario Details: Random mission Apocalypse battle.

 

Landscape Type: Barren 

Tactical Information: Imperial colony

Scenario Details: Random mission

 

Landscape Type: Cavern World 

Tactical Information: Cavernous planet whose strategic value is largely unknown 

Scenario Details: Random mission 2, 5, 13, 17, 19, 31 from the little black book

 

Landscape Type: Cavern World 

Tactical Information: Cavernous planet whose strategic value is largely unknown 

Scenario Details: Random mission 15, 25, 41, 42, 59, 61 from the little black book

 

Landscape Type: Chaos World 

Tactical Information: Occupying Chaos Force gains an extra 250-army points 

Scenario Details: Random mission

 

Landscape Type: Chapter World 

Tactical Information: Occupying Marine Force gains an extra 250-army points 

Scenario Details: Random mission

 

Landscape Type: Dead World 

Tactical Information: Occupying Necron Force gains an extra 250-army points 

Scenario Details: Random mission

 

Landscape Type: Death World 

Tactical Information: Barren world known to cause early death due to failed terraforming of planet

Scenario Details: Random mission 19, 24, 25, 57, 61, 62 from the little black book

 

Landscape Type: Eldar Exodus World 

Tactical Information: Occupying Eldar/Dark Eldar Force gains an extra 250-army points 

Scenario Details: Random mission

 

Landscape Type: Failed imperial colony 

Tactical Information: City fight rules apply in the few remaining ruins

Scenario Details: Mission 7 or 40 from the little black book

 

Landscape Type: Fire World 

Tactical Information: Inhospitable planet incapable of sustaining life but rich in minerals

Scenario Details: Random mission 8, 9, 19, 26, 37, 43 from the little black book 

 

Landscape Type: Hive World

Tactical Information: Due to the nature of the hive, occupying Tyranid forces gain extra 250-army points.

Scenario Details: Random mission Little Black book.

 

Landscape Type: Imperial World 

Tactical Information: Occupying Imperial Guard Force gains an extra 250-army points 

Scenario Details: Random mission

 

Landscape Type: Industrial 

Tactical Information: Munitions and Weapon development testing Facility 

Scenario Details: Random mission 4,15,16,25,33,37 from the Little Black Book (City fight rules apply)

 

Landscape Type: Mission/Fortress World 

Tactical Information: Occupying Inquisition Force gains an extra 250-army points 

Scenario Details: Random mission

 

Landscape Type: One of the last Titan building facilities  

Tactical Information: Each Army must have a minimum of one titan (model that uses the super heavy vehicle or is a gargantuan creature)

Scenario Details: Random mission

 

Landscape Type: Ork Infested

Tactical Information: Due to the nature of the swarm, occupying Ork forces gain extra 250-army points.

Scenario Details: Random mission

 

Landscape Type: Storm Wreaked

Tactical Information: Powerful storms wreak havoc over the face of the planet 

Scenario Details: Random mission 30,32,49,52,55,58 from the little black book

 

Landscape Type: Tau Sept World 

Tactical Information: Occupying Tau or ally Force gains extra 250-army points 

Scenario Details: Random mission

 

Landscape Type: Wild World 

Tactical Information: Inhospitable planet populated by ferocious flora and fauna

Scenario Details: Random mission 7, 40, 66 from the little black book
